Rick" Rick: The little piece in the middle is the part of the planchet that was not struck thru. Picture a piece of wire (or equivalent) laying on the planchet in a circular shape. The part with the wire will be recessed, and the part (inside) without the wire covering the planchet will 'stand up'. Report this Post to the Staff
Metalman Pillar of the Community United States 7123 Posts	Posted 12/29/2006 12:31 pm I guess I'm not seeing this the same way as coppercoins and Treashunt,, it looks like the center is depressed to me, and has gone into an empty or void area Like the top of a bubble has been broken out an pushed down by whatever mechanism/ But who am I to disagree .
