the wear on the eagles neck and wing, and looking at the rim,this looks XF to me, nice dollar you sure know how to pick them.

Just a bit too much wear for 45, so I will vote EF-40.
That being said, I think NGC or PCGS would slab it as EF-45.
A very nice dollar you have there!

Solid EF-45; TPGs accept slight weakness at the center of LIBERTY on Seated dollars at this grade level. The eagle talons are barely worn at all. Does this coin have any remaining luster? I'd expect some if it has not been cleaned or over-dipped.

I don't see any reason to be suspicious about authenticity but I'd submit a coin like this to ANACS just to ensure it is real. If I wanted it for an album I'd crack it out afterwards and keep the insert in my collection files.
