AHHH... Canada fifty cents, my favorite coin to collect have almost 2 complete sets from 1902-1967.

I like just the silver ones, didn't get into the nickel ones that much, when I pick those up I keep them for traders.

with pginrh, look at the last 2 or 3 digits on some, for varieties.

Quarters are my true passion, but I must admit that the classic 50 cent piece design is very dignified and regal looking ... I have collected 50 cent pieces from 1937 through to 2011, with one exception ...

I haven't started silver 50C collection yet, I know it's gonna be much harder than nickel/steel ones.

I was about to buy a 20 dollar 1967 gold coin when gold price was around 1550, it's the 12% tax on it stopped me.

I also collect them but only 1870-1967 dates when they were made of other than junk metal. I have all the QE2 and all George VI except 1948, all George V dates and all but 1904-1905 Edward dates Am missing the 1888,1890 and 1894 Victorias They are bueatiful coins I also have several jars of George VI and QE2 halves I saved from childhood

Nice coins Chris86..... I really like the design of the Reverse. Remember to check the 1952's for a doubled 'HP' below the King's bust... There are two, slightly different in the amount of doubling, and these are a marker for the two different doubled dies.

just noticed colorial arces still have 2006P roll for $50, and 2007 roll for $23, do you think its a good buy? 2007 is the 3rd lowest mintage 50 cent ever minted, right?

The 2007 looks like a good buy. The mintage is barely higher than the 2006P (111,550). Even the 2006P @ $50 per roll might still be worth a look.

SilverBug, I have a collection from 1967-2011 (can't afford the silver ones...too bad).
Which year is that coin with no date on it?

Here are a few more of my silver 50 Cent coins, enjoy!

The reverse of this 1956 is pretty much perfect, unfortunately the obverse has a few bag marks.
