St. Joseph Hospital Silver Medallion Value/Market

JohnHubble New Member United States 10 Posts	Posted 11/07/2011 8:20 pm I came by this St. Luke's Foundation St. Joseph Hospital Proof Medallion a couple of weeks ago. It was struck by the Northwest Territorial Mint, Auburn, WA, about 1991. The Certificate of Authenticity identifies it as 2 t oz of Silver. I've been trying to 1) identify the possible value of this as a collector medallion and 2) if there is collector value, identify a market where the medallion might be offered. So far, I've been unsuccessful with either of these efforts. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction with this. Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 11/08/2011 12:53 am It is modern bullion round with an obscure subject so collector value would be minimal. However, it does contain 2 troy ounces of silver so it should be worth ~$70. This bullion round was probably originally sold as a fundraiser for that hospital's foundation.
