Gene, I hope you are well, I see the portion of the letter sunken between the hair curls, I originally thought this spot was a remnant of the die polishing as seen in a few areas, I appreciate your input and, I really would agree to dis-agree about the EDS and LDS theory, as even after the first coin struck, after the initial clash, the "imprints" from the clash are lessened more and more after each strike, no?
I say EDS because the photos from the other site show a more weakened imprint of the entire clash, leading me to believe that the plate being shown is NOT an EDS....... It would not be the first time I was wrong, Thanks again. PS, The "M" clash is the first time I have actually seen this letter in all it's glory, in full, this is a very busy coin.....
