Since I putting together a set of silver dollars, I thought maybe I should ask my parents for some for chirstmas getting the collection started

As a kid in the 60s I was always guaranteed at least one for the holidays each year. For my birthday my granma always had a RCM set for me. They are all still part of my collection

Grandfather gave me a '73 Mountie silver dollar for Christmas one year, wasn't as into coins and currency as I am now, but always enjoy looking at it, even more so now!

If I was looking for some coins in my stocking they'd be early year silver dollars..

Ask your parents for a 48 silver dollar. Tell them any grade will be fine and that you will clean your room every week for a year. I'm sure your parents will happy to get it for you. Good Luck
