I've been going through my penny collection and have found 10- 1948's with die cracks.
Is this a common occurance?

Could you post a photo? If you have a couple that show the same die crack, that would be great.

Hello staircase. Here are two 1948 cents with what I believe are die cracks.

I'm stumped, but it seems they are both in areas that would be susceptible to die problems. I'm not experienced enough to provide much info, but perhaps there are people here that might know if such die cracks are included in the 'Zoell' guidelines.

Your bottom picture is Zoell variety number L72d. There are three total listed 1948 one cent Zoell varieties Bust to rim, none of which match your top picture..... This is a particularly prone area to Die Cracks for all denominations of the George VI coins.
