Anyone out there hoarding Canadian Nickel Nickels? Just CRH a box and pulled $28.00 face value from it. My largest % so far. I do not want to list them on ebay as the last 3 10lb lots I sold on there cost me $30 in fees. :)

I hoard nickel coins generally, from every country.
Makes for an interesting collection, when they all come fron dealers' junk boxes!

That is actually on the mark for what mine sold for on the bay. All 3 of the listings I had went for $87.00 for 10 lbs. What you bought from Colonial Acres is priced at $37.67 per 5 lbs. For 10 lbs it would of cost $85.14 tax included (Ontario 13%). Do you mind if I ask what they charged for shipping?

It seems they are disappearing from circulation rather quickly.

I also managed to pull 2 US silver War Nickels from the last 3 boxes I have searched. Always a fun find when searching Canadian nickels. First was a 43S and the most recent is a 44P. I have pulled 4 Silver Wars so far out of 62 Boxes of Canadian Nickels searched. Not a great percentage but always fun to pull.

they charge $6.5+tax on any order you have combined. they used to have a big delay between order and shipping(maybe not enough staff), I was able to combine 6 orders(each order contains multiple items) including 2 ebay items into 1 shipping. that was the best 6.5+tax I've ever spent on shipping

That was great shipping rates. Shipping in Canada is usually a bit high compared to US shipping. If you use the Canada Post/Ebay flat rate boxes for ebay shipments...You can not really go wrong when shipping items up to 5 Kilo/11 lbs. Only cost $11.99 anywhere is Canada, $8.99 within province and $19.99 to the US. Of course you have to buy the boxes from Canada Post's ebay Acct. Three boxes for $6 with free shipping. Then you have to pay for the shipping using their online shipping label service. With that being said...being able to ship 10lbs in bullion coins to the states for 19.99 + 2.00 (box) is a great deal. Unfortunately with the good...comes the bad ( ebay Fees). :)

that's a lot of nickel!

I did some calculation before, nickel 5C weights 4.54g, 1lb=454g=100 pieces=$5 face value, you have around 100lb metal there. no wonder I can't find any old nickel in my change and have to buy from dealer
