I'm hoping this is an '49' A 2 D.
Your thoughts please... and what you might grade it as.

Not the greatest pictures, but it doe's look like A2D, & on that basis I would say VF20.
Rest in Peace

Hi Barrie

I am no pro, but here is what 2012 Charlton catalouge says about how to double check if the "A" in "GRATIA" is pointing at or between the denticles.

1 - The last "A" in Gratia points to large denticle. Reverse side has 129 denticles.

2 - The last "A" in Gratia points between 2 large denticles. Reverse side has 128 denticles.

Hope that helps

It sure is the A to D but I only grade it a fine by the picture.
What I did is place the two side by side in one coin flip, they look great together.
