I found a 1908 s IH going through some of my old Whitman foldeers from when I was young.

The coin is probably EF 40 but the S is only visible under close magnification as I tilt the coin. I don't see how this mintmark would have worn with the coin being in this condition. I would post a picture, but I can't get a good one with my set up.

Is it common for these coins to have weak mintmarks?

Anyone know?...Thanks

Thanks alot scoutjim.

I wish I had a means of getting a good photo, I tried holding my loupe up in front of my camera to no avale.

I have a new copystand comming in the next day or 2 maybe That will help me.

IH?......?....Oh, Indian Head!. LOL

I just checked my 2 1908 Indian Head cents but no mint mark on them.
