I am thinking about selling my #2 set of B1 Reverse Morgans. what would be the best way to sell this set, I am in need of cash as fast as possible. Most of these coins are top pop with the big 3 and two are 1 of 1 from the big 3 Edited by Bryan1315 12/30/2006 12:11 pm

I was just wondering if I should list them on ebay one by one or sell them as a group somewhere

I have the same issue with some silver. I have been watching the auctions on ebay and it seems it will be better to break it up. I have about $200 in face value 90%, and I think I'm better off breaking it into lots of $30-50. My honest opinion is to list separate, as there are a lot more people willing to spend a few hundred on one coin, but cannot afford to buy 50 coins at once for $5000. Know what I mean?

How fast do you need the money? Selling all to a dealer is quick and easy, but you will have to sell at a discount. Selling as a group on ebay? Not as quick, and will not maximize your profits. One at a time on ebay? Bigger profits, but lots of your time invested and ebay and PayPal costs cutting into the profits. Sell on B,S, and T boards? Everyone is looking for a deal, will take longer and will not sell easily. Your choice....

Bryan, I think you would lose selling as a lot type auction on ebay. I would say to sell them seperate to get the possible highest profit. Or you could try to sell as a lot at a "buy it now" auction.Theres always a chance its just what someone is looking for and if it didn't sell you would just be out your insertion fees.

Think I will go the ebay one at a time route because I don't have to have the money right now but would like to have it as quickly as possible and a few of them have been selling for 1100 a peice without the VAM designation so hopefully they will do good

Good luck, Bryan, with the sale and the family. I'm sorry you're selling under duress, but at least it's only your #2 set.

You might think about Teletrade they seem to realize higher prices than ebay especially for registry coins.

Bryan, don't forget that you can sell here on the forum. We have some Morgan collectors and there are no fees. You may want to list some of them here while you are also listing others on ebay. Just a thought.

Right now coins are not on alot of peoples minds, if they are coins that a "normal" collector would buy 30-200 dollar range wait 1.5 months when people are getting their tax refunds back, sell them individually not as a package...........good luck!
