The lack of detail in the hair is the killer. Other devices are strong, however. All in all, what a wonderful old lady!! Report this Post to the Staff

Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6398 Posts	Posted 12/19/2011 10:55 am I've seen similar coins in PCGS VF-20 holders so I'm guessing it might make that grade. The coin seems essentially corrosion-free in the photos but I can't be sure. The reverse has a hint of granularity and sometimes that weakness in lettering and rims is partly the result of corrosion. If that is the case here, the coin appears to have been well-conserved to stabilize the surfaces. I'm still looking for a nice Liberty Cap with solid detail and no problems. Yours is a beauty! Looks weakly, unevenly struck. Sure is a beauty, even with a fine layer of porosity! Report this Post to the Staff
