Most expensive was 2011 silver maple leaf. Coming in second was 1977 25th aniversary of the accession to the throne of Queen Elizabeth II silver dollar.

I bought several large cents but they weren't expensive. Trying to get that set completed.
Bought in 2011:
1854 Bank of Upper Canada penny token 1861 New Brunswick cent 1871 Prince Edward Island cent 1948 dime
Bought these Newfoundland large cents:
1907 1917C 1920C 1929
but none of them were that expensive. Bought all of the Newfoundland small cents individually but they were cheap too.
The 2011 Uncirculated set I bought was probably the most expensive as $23 (I think that's what it was)
Just plugging away filling in the gaps and will be doing that in 2012 also.

SHAFTA9...my 1872 A/V NGC AU55 was not labeled as a A/V. I thought I was buying a plain 1872.
It may well be the purchase of a lifetime :).

2011 25th Anniversary Silver Eagle set, for ~$700.
Edit: I did not actually purchase the eagle set, it was a Christmas present from my parents.
That being said, the highest cost item I did purchase was a 1911 50c VF-20 ICCS piece for ~$300.

Just double click on the smile and you will automatically see some weird writing in the box that you normally type your message in. You will only see the smile after you have sent the message. Show me your smile!

Last night's C & P Internet auction I won an I.C.C.S., Canada, 1872H, Fifty Cent piece, AU-58, for $1,500.00. I figure with buyer's premium + tax I will be into it for appr. $2,000. But what the heck, it's my last coin purchase for the year! Happy New Year gang, love you all. Glenn from New Brunswick, Canada

I just got a Victoria 1894 5c in ICCS MS63 for C$1250. I think this is about half the catalogue price, key date.

Marbury, so your the one who stole that coin from me. I had an $800.00 max. bid on it. What a beauty it is and extremely scarce in that grade. Price wise you did very well at 50% trends, even at full trends it would be a bargain. Congrats on your win, and welcome to C.C.F.! Glenn

Ahhh glenzy1, sorry about that, well, not sorry really. I got it for C$950 plus BP, so about 1250 all in, so pretty good. Living in the UK I was up until 3am last night with the auction on. I have a pretty decent collection now and only been at it a couple of years, having picked it up again from boyhood hobby. Just got 50 .800 silver Canadian dimes and 30 Canadian .800 quarters for 250 bucks....unseen, as not much over spot it's got to be a winner...McKee Coins.
