At my my local dealer, hes selling silver toonies... I was just wondering how much silver is in them and say if I bought one, what would be a reasonable price?

They vary by year, issue price and qty produced for price.

As to specs they are 7.0 grams and composed of .925 .

If he has a 2007 silver loon, snap it up. Very few of those were minted...

The 2007 Silver Loon that SPP-Ottawa mentioned, there were 849 issued in the Premium Wedding Gift Set. Looking at $50-60 for the individual coin for 0.208 tr oz of silver.

WRT your last post about the 2007 Toonie, Charlton's Vol 2 does not list one so looking back at Vol 1, MS-64 is $5 with just under 39 million minted.

For Silver Toonie's, you're looking at :
1996 Silver, 0.263 tr oz, MS-67 $20
1996 Silver Piedfort, 0.525 tr oz MS 67 $150
1999 Silver/Gilt, Proof Set, 0.263 tr oz, 39873 issued, issue price $24.95
2000 Path of Knowledge, Silver/Gilt Silver, Proof Single, 39768 issued, issue price $24.95
2004 Proud Polar Bear, Sterling Silver, 0.262 tr oz, 12607 issued, PR-67 $65

If I may make a suggestion, consider investing this week in a copy of Charlton's guides, will save a lot of time spent asking questions while broadening your own knowledge and resources. They're not that expensive, about the cost of one of the coins you'd be buying in a given week it seems. Intent is not to rag on you for asking questions, my apologies if it seems the case, just thinking of my own experience from before I bought a copy to after I got them in the mail.

we are talking about stering silver toonies, right? I bought a pop from colonialacre's sale, around $10 each + tax. it does have a 2007 one. 2007 silver loon? I haven't seen one yet. BTW, silver toonie is only 1.5g heavier than normal toonie, but much shinnier.
