Missing 2 to complete my Buffalo Set. The 1921 S and 1913 Type 2 S.
Just picked this up though. What would you grade this one at?

That coin looks familiar? Anyways, I think it grades F12 details scratched. Congrats! This was my second to last nickel as well. My last was a 1926 S.

Having a nice full date and easy to see mint mark like that is a big plus, I am sure that the scratches are far less noticeable when the coin sits in with the rest of the herd in the set.

As I recall, I had a pretty tough time getting a 1921 S for my set as they always outbid me at the end.I must have looked at and chased 20 or 25 of these so they were not going cheap in Sept of 2009.
I paid $119.95 shipped for this VG8 in a PCGS holder, and I think I am torn whether I would want yours or mine at that price.
Yours has much better details, while mine has no problems and the cost of grading it and shipping to get it slabbed was included.
I would say maybe it is worth around $120.00 give or take $10.00 either way.
Bottom line, I like it! We can see the forest for the trees on yours if we look at what is good about it rather than focus on the scratches.

Thanks to all for comments.
Yes, once this is in my album with all the others, I think the scratches wont be so distracting. my set is G to VG circulated set with the occasional semi keys in F or higher details.
i paid $127 for this due to some last minute sniping by some. my sets will be passed down to my kids, so not planning on selling. but do like to know I was in the ballpark with what I picked it up for.
