Newmismatist Valued Member United States 197 Posts	Posted 01/12/2012 09:13 am Would someone deliberately tack on an astronomical shipping charge in the hope of getting someone to bid without noticing the charge and thus contractually obligate themselves to pay it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1945-D-WALK...em3f1245a89b [Edited because URL shortened to tinyurl was not accepted] Edited by Newmismatist 01/12/2012 09:15 am Report this Post to the Staff

Newmismatist Valued Member United States 197 Posts	Posted 01/12/2012 09:51 am Since you can't see the link: The shipping charge is $175 for a single Walking Liberty half! Report this Post to the Staff
jgfindring Rest in Peace United States 1380 Posts	Posted 01/12/2012 09:54 am Looking at her other auctions, I think this was just a misplaced decimal and shipping was meant to be $1.75. I've done this by accident myself at least once. Report this Post to the Staff

oih82w8 Pillar of the Community United States 7842 Posts	Posted 01/12/2012 11:10 am ...or maybe her other auctions list as shipping for $1.75 are wrong, and they really are $175! Or maybe that is for door-to-door delivery, she would personally deliver them to you. Anyway, whoa that's steep! Edited by oih82w8 01/12/2012 11:12 am Report this Post to the Staff
