Iam trying to find a value for a 1944s double struck Wheat cent that I have owned for about 40 years.

I agree with jbuj but a closer photo might change that opinion.

First of all to the community. It really is a great place filled with alot of good people (and one bad one) There is a wealth of knowledge on this site.

The photo is a little small to make a 100% accurate judgement but from what I see it looks like Machine Doubling.

There is a possibility of being a Doubled Die that also has Machine Doubling but it is doubtfull.

Double clicking on the picture opens it in another window. For IE users, in the lower right hand corner, increase the size to 400%.

The 9 and first 4 show clear signs of doubling. Second 4 probably does too.
