pman860507 Pillar of the Community United States 784 Posts	Posted 01/13/2012 7:52 pm Either I'm a crazy jerk or this is a DDO with Moderate thickness. look at at 2 side by side each letter looks a lot thicker and the L is about twice the size of the normal L. with that said I might be a jerk. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/13/2012 8:14 pm Best way to compare is to place the two images of a coin that is normal with one that is one you question to see if they are different or not: https://www.coincommunity.com/forum..._Regular.jpg https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...ular_LIB.jpg https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...SE_E-PLU.jpg Always use examples from the same year/type/mint mark to make sure it is normal/different. Sizing the images is important. When you crop the outside diameter the save width, then size them to the same size. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/13/2012 9:39 pm The first obverse image appears to be an ealier die state than the reverse and also the second obverse. This will may a coin more appealing when searchine. But I feel it is normal, just EDS. Close up images makes the EDS images look like baby pictures when compared with later die state coins. Here is a close up of an EDS coin another member posted. Note how rounded the devices are. Nice crisp images of the devices/field areas. They do stand out from the crowd.
