Either I'm a crazy jerk or this is a DDO with Moderate thickness. look at at 2 side by side each letter looks a lot thicker and the L is about twice the size of the normal L. with that said I might be a jerk. I'm sure you will let me know.

Thanks.

I'm not seeing it. Looks normal to me....Just my opinion.

Either way I don't think you are crazy..or a jerk...

Im sure others will chime in. Sometimes Die Deterioration fools me..

Best way to compare is to place the two images of a coin that is normal with one that is one you question to see if they are different or not:

Always use examples from the same year/type/mint mark to make sure it is normal/different.
Sizing the images is important. When you crop the outside diameter the save width, then size them to the same size.

The top of the "T" in "LIBERTY" in the first pic looks interesting as does the "U" in "TRUST" in the close up shot, but I can't say it is doubling. Maybe clearer cluse up shots would help.

The first obverse image appears to be an ealier die state than the reverse and also the second obverse. This will may a coin more appealing when searchine. But I feel it is normal, just EDS. Close up images makes the EDS images look like baby pictures when compared with later die state coins.
Here is a close up of an EDS coin another member posted. Note how rounded the devices are. Nice crisp images of the devices/field areas. They do stand out from the crowd.

Your coin is normal. 1984 cents come that way sometimes.

The main coins that I have problems on are ones that just have extra thickness. on these coins will you still see extra notching? or is the only way to compare them with another
