I just picked one up today .. $35.00 Just curious if others are starting to see the 2012 ASE's yet? PS/edit When I was picking up my 2012 ASE I saw this. I think the are calling them a Regan Dime. It is dime size of .999 silver. I thought is was pretty cool. Edited by GR58 01/13/2012 8:45 pm

The shop I bought it from will be at a coin show I am going to tomorrow, I will try and remember to ask if they know. I tend to wait until the end of the year (Christmas time) to nab my ASEs. However, with the price of silver hovering where it is, I may take advantage of an early stop by my local coin shop. :-)

Ordered one last week, should be here early next week. Can't wait, starting a Silver Eagle collection!

I am in no rush, so I will probably stop by a local coin shop in a few weeks.

I have several of the "Reagan Dimes" but are dated 2006 and have 1/10th oz stamped on them. There were a couple of private mints making them, so bought a couple of them as unique and interesting curiosities. Nice Dansco, btw!

I have not seen the dimes before, but they are cool. I'll need to search for a sillver builion since they are private mint - right? I did pick up a few ASE - want to buy a few more before they get too much higher.

Yep, and $35.00 seems to be the popular price currently;

Picked up two of them today. Both NGC Graded MS-69 (WP and S). I still need the normal "Brown" label MS-69 for my complete set of MS-69 ASE's and then one raw one for my complete Dansco book of ASE's. Maples are so much easier to collect, not many graded to all are raw in a Dansco and the 2012's came out two months ago. LOL

Pardon my ignorance, but...
It looks like the U.S. Mint is still selling the 2011 ASEs (uncirculated) for $45.95 and I don't see any 2012 ASEs for sale there. How are retailers getting 2012 ASEs at a price low enough to resell for $35?

barryg, the ones shown in this thread are the bullion variety, which the 2012s went on sale early January. The uncirculated version will be available from the mint site later on this year. Bullion versions are not available from the U.S. Mint site, only from bullion dealers who buy directly from the mint.
What a gorgeous coin! Thanks for sharing, guys.

Ah. So presumably bullion dealers are able to get them at something like melt price? I thought the Mint added a hefty premium to everything they sold.
