@appleangel Go up to the url, add ".au" between "ebay.com" and the "/itm", press enter, then click on the sellers listings. They have no listings on the international site, but plenty on the Aussie one

Those items that I linked to: AUSTRALIAN $20 BANKNOTE - AM 06 668668 NICE NOTE & BEUTIFUL REPEAT NUMBERS - Sold for $20.70 + $4.90 postage (If paid with Paypal through ebay & an actual 70c postage cost, the seller will make $1.31) AUSTRALIAN $50 BANKNOTE - AF 98860860 NICE NOTE & BEUTIFUL REPEAT NUMBERS - Sold for $52.00 + $5.90 postage (If paid with Paypal through ebay & an actual 70c postage cost, the seller will make $1.19) We'll see how the following end up (tomorrow night): AUSTRALIAN $20 BANKNOTE - IK 07441444 aUNC or BETTER & BEAUTIFUL NUMBERS AUSTRALIAN $50 BANKNOTE - DK 08 555551 - NICE NOTE & NEARLY SOLID NUMBERS It's apparent that the seller actual knows how to spell BEAUTIFUL now. I've lost money on sales on ebay before, but it does take time to work out the best method to sell coins/notes.

The others sold: AUSTRALIAN $20 BANKNOTE - IK 07441444 aUNC or BETTER & BEAUTIFUL NUMBERS - Sold for $15.60 + $4.90 postage (If paid with Paypal through ebay & an actual 70c postage cost, the seller will LOSE $3.40) AUSTRALIAN $50 BANKNOTE - DK 08 555551 - NICE NOTE & NEARLY SOLID NUMBERS - Sold for $61.00 + $5.90 postage (If paid with Paypal through ebay & an actual 70c postage cost, the seller will make $9.50) It's a plus & minus game, that's why I list my less desired $50.00 notes/serials/prefixes at $56.56 which covers ebay & Paypal costs. If I sell at $56.56 the breakdown is:
- -$5.06: ebay - Insertion $1.50, Final Listing $2.97, Gallery Picture $0.59
- -$1.70: Paypal - Based on overall selling price (including postage)
- +$1.27: Postage & Packing - Cost $0.70 - Sell $1.97 (Packing costs me time...always remember that)
- +$56.56: Original listing price, $50.00 note face value
OVERALL: Worst case make $0.37
I guess the worst case at selling it at what you listed it at is that someone else will utilise the note for their collection, maybe onsell it or etc. Better than letting it go back into circulation.

Quote: OVERALL: Worst case make $0.37 But then there is the time and effort of actually listing it on ebay. I haven't sold anything on ebay but personally I would want to make more than just a dollar or 2 for the time and effort and the risk that the buyer might be dodgy.

Everyone has their own opinions, I like being able to sell & knowing that others out there are interested in what I have to sell & the fact that it could make up their collection. As with all users of ebay, I've encounted three dodgy sellers (two who overgraded, one who said the item got lost in the post because he sold the item too cheap, but all three were rectified with refunds) & three dodgy buyers (one who claimed the item wasn't working & the other two who bid but never paid) in well over 400 transactions. I find it great to source extra income for the next big purchase...say I was looking for a new 2000 mule in Fine condition. I could sell a few $50's & if I can make $5 or $10 on 6 of them then it could be an extra $30-$60 of spending. As you know, I like it & I'm aware of a lot of genuine sellers through ebay. Ideally with Paypal, you're always covered when buying something through registered post. If you can sell some Rabbit Ears $1 or Cud coins for a few dollars each then you can make some extra money to spend. Just remember, not everyone pays with Paypal; direct deposit is fee free & there are always ebay promotions where you can get great reductions in selling fees. It all adds up. I'm going to have to list lots of items/things on ebay soon as I'm making myself save money for a holiday. If you've got stuff you don't need & someone else wants it then so be it.

On the ebay thing. I have sold a fair bit of extra stuff on ebay and after the fees and charges by ebay and pay pal there is not a lot of room to make a quid. My buying habits are atrocious and I always buy more than I really can use. I will have to sell some of my surplus coins ( kilos of them ) and will probably use ebay, at least that way there are extra funds in my pay pal acc so I can spurge away I have had a go at listing here on CCF but can't work out how to upload pics so I gave up on that idea. Anyway ebay isn't that bad, there are some weird buggers out there but 99.99% of sellers and buyers are good sorts

Exactly the same as me...too often the spending becomes the problem...we have to start thinking of it as a credit card...spend less than you have made... LESSJoshtammi: How much you filter through to get those out? I'd love a better condition AN96. I got over noodling $100's because I thought that it was just too easy to find what you're looking for. But I haven't done it for a while. I think you're getting my fingers ready for a few thousand.

this was in about $50,000
there were plenty of test notes but I only take the ones in good condition. also some more AA's but once again if they are ruined I don't bother.
These notes werent from the bank though, they had been in storage for years, hence why I can pull some good notes quite easily.

Something doesn't look right there with the bids. I wouldn't want to get caught up in that bidding war. However, on the other hand it could be the final note for a collection for some people, so who can say..

There is a thread on the ebay Coins,Collectables & Antiques board about this seller & the over inflated price, have a look at their feedback,if there is shill bidding going on it will be easy to see,i did'nt bother even looking into it as the prices are just way over the top.
