Bingo Josh! In the absence of consecutive numbered notes, I'm happy with consecutive numbered groups.

Spg...get on the III (three), WWW (world wide web) & ZZZ (sleep)!
Duh...I can't believe I didn't notice it.
I did collect consecutive sequential, but got over it unless if I found them in consecutive. I found a trio of $50 - 271271, 271272 & 271273. In the end I put the 271273 back in the pond.

Klu Klux Klan? (pauline Hanson voter?)

I love the paper notes because you can spell so many 3 letter words in comparison to 2 letter words. & the three letter solid does look very cool. I'm loving the low serial numbers (e.g less than 000999).

Let's have a think of what words we can spell...

wow spg, spectacular notes

I especially like the first one AAA 000725. Is that a $1 note? If so it must have come from one of those 25th anniversary banknote sets

Hi Mob, the AAA $1 note was an archive note. I don't know much more than that.

Still missing MMM & http://www.....

Good luck with finding M M M & W W W (& Z Z Z)

In regards to the 25th anniversary banknote sets, in 1991 Note Printing Australia released a leather bound eight note set from their archives. It included the last pre decimal notes with matching high serial numbers and the first decimal notes with matching very low serial numbers (have a look on page 451 of the latest Maccas guide).
Many of these sets have been broken up so that the notes can be sold individually, which is where yours came from.

These anniversary banknote sets sell for over $7000 now so they are out of my price range unfortunately.
