Interesting 25% markup (insert postie joke here). But, there is no limit of how many you can add to your cart. The downside? Even if you select only one, they are unavailable from Canada Post. Oops.

Decided to check some on-line dealers and only found one in Winnipeg that will give you up to 10 for $28.95 each and they are on backorder. The other regular deals don't have them listed yet. On ebay, there are "buyitnows" in the $35-40 plus range and active auctions north of $32 making Canada Post a relative bargain. Not sure who would buy them at inflated prices when these are still available from the mint for 20 bucks. @SilverBug: Correct. the shipping fee of $2.99 is waived for orders of $25 or more.

There is a site called Red Flags Deals. They have a 12-13 page thread on this coin and it's not a coin forum. Does everyone know about this series?

not everyone has a credit card. Walking into a post office and paying 25 bucks in cash isn't too bad.

@realpenny,
Lol, those guys over at Redflagdeals are a different breed. Anything that screams good deal they'll buy. One guy posted a picture of 6 printers and 4 21 inch computer monitors that he bought and never opened. But he got them all for a steal. I've seen pics of shelves full of soap, detergent, drinks, etc. that people hoard when coupons and bonus bucks make the purchase almost free.
At least it's converting people over to precious metals :)

^ I have read the name before on other forums. They said pretty much the same thing about it, even some of the same words.
I can't wait to get my coin and check it out... the packing seems to be in the same style as the Canoe.

I got my 3 bears yesterday. I think they did a pretty good job on the texturing and detail. I have 5 more coming. If you have a spouse, you can set up a different web account with a different email addy. So I have 3 coming from that.
Also, my mum emailed me and told me she ordered 2 for me for my birthday after I sent an email about the latest 20 for 20 offering to friend/family. Which gives me another idea. Why not get friends/family to order for you on their credit cards, give them $60 (plus shipping if applicable) in cash, and have them order it to their home? You probably have people in your area that you trust.

I start to wonder how many 20 for 20 should I buy(or exchange). if they can be spent everywhere just like $20 bank note, basically I should get as many as possible, but some member here mentioned in the previous post that NCLT is NOT meant to be accepted as currency...

And you didn't post a nice picture of it? :P I did a search and found some images of the actual coin. It looks like the RCM used 3 types of finishes?!? They look well done. So far the series is still strong, I believe. Some better shots of the coins follow, the one coin shop wants a lot for them. http://emilydamstra.wordpress.com/2...nadian-mint/http://www.talismancoins.com/servle...tail?no=1846Quote: I start to wonder how many 20 for 20 should I buy(or exchange). if they can be spent everywhere just like $20 bank note, basically I should get as many as possible, but some member here mentioned in the previous post that NCLT is NOT meant to be accepted as currency... The "lawyer details" seem to be only one coin has to be accepted for a debt. That is the worse case. Will people accept them at a store for a bag of milk... depends on the owner. Really the collector value exceeds face so treat them like a coin with numismatic value that exceeds face. Lots of people are buying them for more than $20, wouldn't worry about it.

my RCM representitive told me that master club member who spent between 1k-5k can only order 5 polar bear coins, over 5k spending can have 10, interesting... so I went to RCM vancouver shop and bought 3 more there. seems everyone there is buying 20 for 20, and they need to put down email and postal code for this coin. eventually RCM marketing team can get a nice chart where all the money are coming from
