I am not sure if I would ever really "invest" in paper money. There are a lot of better choices when you want to invest, stocks, bonds, PM's, etc. But some notes that have been doing well are Chartered bank notes, and High Grade notes from Dominion of Canada and Bank of Canada 1935 notes.

... in other words => most of the rarer and the more expensive notes (*sigh*)

However, at some point in my/your life the value of our current notes will increased, "somewhat" ... but Canadian-Banknotes is definitely on the correct-track => the notes that he mentioned have very, very different run-populations than our current, modern-day notes ("maybe", the replacement notes and/or the oddity-notes, like the radars and low serial numbers "might" also be a sought-after commodity, "someday"?)

... but again, Canadian-Banknotes is correct => the older and the rarer notes are definitley gonna be the notes that continue to be sought after ...

Ummm honestly, I think that the "Devil's Face Series" is an awesome and still quite a fairly obtainable series => I would try to collect a nice bunch of those notes ("I" think that they're still a pretty good bang for your buck ... and when Queen Elizabeth passes-on, "oh my", I'm guessing that she'll become even more sought-after) ...

... oh, but please don't come lookin' for me, if I'm totally wrong, okay?

thanks

Some of the insert notes in the Journey Series are VERY Rare. However, the price is not high at all, because there are very few collectors of these notes.

If you look at the Journey $5 that I posted on the first page of this thread, there were only 1,000 of those replacements printed. Right now, there are only 3 of the original 1,000 recorded.

check out the right-hand side of the Queen's hair ... it looks like a Devil's face (it's not more complicated than that) ...

Post-Your-Paper-Money-Collections.

... the later notes ("Modified Series") look the same except that they got rid of the Devil's Face and blended it to look more like, ummm, hair ...

Talking about devil's face notes. Doesn't this price seem excessive for an, at most, $10 note : http://www.ebay.com/itm/1954-CANADI...110601653524

That happens all the time on ebay. People will list an item with some insane price, hoping someone will buy it.
