Just pick up another nice vintage $100 bill for face. Second in a week, first was a 1954. This one is a nice 1975 Lawson Bouey in AU condition serial #JB1461095. I would rate it UNC if it did not have a ripple. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

Thought you would find these interesting. I have bought all of them off of ebay sellers. The 1954 has mismatched serial #'s.

@Colhand1: Love the error note. That series of bills is fast becoming my favourite and an error no less! As promised, here are pics of my latest addition. I'm getting hooked on paper money collecting! And here are the pics of my other $100 that I got earlier this week.

I'm really getting into the whole paper money side of collecting. Like someone else mentioned earlier, they really are works of art. Each one is one of a kind too because they are serialized.

I consider the banknote the ambassador for the country. The style of artwork, colour, print & font all say something about that country. My first love was the mulitcolour $50 RCM parade..... my second love is the old U.S. silver certificates.

@AgCoinAu: I agree that that is the most beautiful of Canadian banknotes. The RCMP were in a formation that my uncle called a "newfie firing squad". Don't know why I remember that, but I apologize if I offend anyone here.

Took me a week to go through this whole thread. Hat off to all the great pics and even better notes. Was kinda/sorta like a history lesson that I wanted to do. Thanks to all for sharing their wealth and knowledge.

I don't know... I've always just taken in the notes from friends and the bank and held onto them.. always heard of some pretty bad stories of people selling on the bay and getting taken... seems the buyer is always right and the seller just has to hope for honesty...
