ok so I see the "damaged" area, but there just dosesn't seem to be much by way or the last 2 digits, how can I know if this is PMD or something else making the digits disappear. is the damaged area an indication of anything or just that damage?

In my opinion it is just a very very well used coin. Notice there is no detail in any of the coin. PMD in Circulation in my opinion.
