sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 01/25/2012 07:07 am This coin does not show any real signs of wear. It has to grade Uncirculated because of this. The 'orrible nicks on the reverse obviously will lower the value of it below an uncirculated example without those nicks. I would grade it as uncirculated and mention the details. It would be harder to sell this coin without photographs or examination in hand first. Report this Post to the Staff

sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 01/25/2012 08:00 am Ausjack has a point. Because this is a large coin, the fields are more obviously subject to minor nick damage. An acryllic screw crown size capsule could be bought from a dealer for a dollar or less. You would then be able to handle the coin quite safely. I have a few modern silver proof and uncirculated crown sized coins stored in this way. Report this Post to the Staff
