Wondered what the good eyes think about this one. I think it's VG to VG+ The holder needs to be replaced for sure and there is rim damage.

With the damage and polishing, I'm not certain where the details grade would settle, but I think you're in the ballpark. A very cool coin in any condition. Those tiny gold dollars are really interesting.

I think VG would be a good guess on this piece. I agree it may have been a jewelery piece at one time also because it looks like it has been polished, probably from wearing it on a necklace and it continuously rubbing against cloth of a shirt throughout the years
