Dear EgCollector,
First, I KNOW the feeling! Especially having spent years hunting for and acquiring the coins that I need. Second, if you have an extra nickel you could do the following: Glue a piece of paper on the nickel and write the info on it that is is on the 2X2 holder. Then put this extra nickel into the hole. You are wise to keep the 1950-D as it is. It will most definitely protect it.

Quote: And when this is finally done at long last..... I'll have the Jefferson nickel collection that I always wanted and coveted in TWO DIFFERENT WAYS ! BOTH equally satisfying, though one cost me quite a bit more money and time ! .......and one shines like Albuquerque, New Mexico AT NIGHT ! Just REALLY REALLY beautiful collection indeed eaglefoot; I wish you complete your Dream set soon, and when you do, please share the pics with us. I would like to see what my set in High grades would look like My Dream set is a Franklin half and I have a Dansco album already for it .... and I am dreaming of seeing it shine one day

Congratuations, EgCollector! Quote: completing one from "circulation" and completing one in "high grades with Proofs". eaglefoot, I am doing the same thing. I still have about 20 holes in my "from circulation" folders and have just started to populate the "high grades with proofs" in a Dansco that I got for Christmas. Good stuff!

First ... Congratulations Amr. I am amazed at your ability and passion to collect USA coins from Egypt ... and your achievements are noteworthy and inspirational. Very well done indeed ... One small suggestion ... take that 1950-D out of the 2x2 and place it in your album ... that 'hole' bothers my eye ... and the coin ... while a key-date for the set ... is not IMHO worthy of 'special' treatment to the visual detriment of the holistic view of the album. I know how you feel about chopping coins out of holders. Very well done indeed ... and Many Thanks for sharing. David

I say wait until you get a nicer, more protective album like a Dansco, and then rip the '50-D out and put it in the album.

EgCollector,
How many of the nickels did you have to buy or trade for?
