I'm still new to this how do you take pictures? I mean I'm trying to balance a light, a magnifying glass and focus the camera and it's proving difficult. Maybe there is an easier way I'm missing.

Well let us know what you have to work with, what kind of camera? Your lighting looks alright to start with, you just need something fairly bright, you seem to be getting good color, just not close enough or in focus.

Compare side by side with another 1982 large date, not just another penny. Thickness of devices can be very different from year to year. Also the 1982 is famous for fooling people.

Try taking the photos outside so you don't need to use artificial lighting. Place the coin on something that is non reflective outside. Make sure if in Sunlight, find a place where there is no harsh reflectances. Quote: The correct term is doublED die. That's true they are really Doubled Dies but just as with a Cent being a Penny, so people mostly say Double Die coins.

Most say "I could care less" when they mean " I could not care less".... does not make it right. As far as penny vs. cent "penny" is an accepted colloquilism. Not the same argument...IMO
