Hi,
I found a 1985 50 cent last week, was rapt! Still haven't found an incuse yet. Up to doing about $1500 of these so far.
So far I have done $300 of 20 cent pieces and only found 2 x NT, 3 x Sir Donald Bradman and 1 x UN, found quite a few Volunteers, Kate and Wills and WW2 but thats about it.

Will be doing $400 of 50 cents next week.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Welcome 2MinuteNoodler!
I wish you more luck than I have had with finding incuse 50c.
I found my second one yesterday, but I have gone through a LOT of coins to get that one.
Well done with the 1985, I have found that they dont come up very often.

Good idea lostsean, I do a similar thing when I am away working.
I keep all my change ( I always purchase with notes) and put it all in one of them calico bank bags.
When I get home I have a good look through the coins before the grand kids get em.
I found an almost uncirculated 1970 cook 50 cents last time.
Good effort Mate thinking outside the square can pay off

Thanks trout, when most do one thing I tend to go the opposite way, too bad no one seems to have old coins and silvers
I bought 36.6 kg of mixed penny's ( next week picking up) I did see a 46 in stash so hoping there's a few other treasures within,
But my milkbar owner saves everything he wants to bank ( $1000 a week) and everyone is almost cleaned out, need more sources , but back to old coins while the save up again,
Starting to rebuild sets
Penny's done need upgrades ( very nice 46, 25 has 6-7 pearls and 26 havs the kings crown top peice stamped over the x in Rex I will get photos as stumped me how that can be and has this happened before?

I just use Excel, but there are some good programs for keeping track of everything. Someone else might have a recommendation for you.

I'm on a roll! (but it can't last.)
Bought $230 of 50¢ coins from the bank this morning -proceeds of a money-box just cashed in.
7 Centenary (5 different states)
A couple of double bars
Quite a lot of common ones but EF-aUNC condition (definite keepers)
And...(the photos show the pick of the crop and a couple of samples of others)

PS. The 1979 isn't the double bar; just a very nice one.

Well, the Beat Goes On. I am not a big fan of the song but the title is apposite.
Took $230 back to the bank and was told that there was also $60 of 20¢ from same money-box. "Would you like those too?"
No ! (don't you know me by now). I will report if anything interesting turns up.
And, a wife purse noodle turned up a Last of the Anzacs $1 coin, "C" mintmark. Well worn; I suspect it wasn't very old when it was turned loose. Still, always nice to find an NCLT coin from circulation.

Just asked my mother for her change, "only have a few coins, wont be nothing in there " me " its people that say that ,that seem to have and pass on coins that are rare"

$6 in change 2,1 2x 50c and lose

found a 1970 cook 50c ( best I have ever seen) and a 2003 special
I think I make my point clear as I have'nt had a cook in my change since 1998

Well, not much in the 20¢. A good Tasmania and a fair Bradman. But, if you don't look you will never know.
Still, an excellent start to the week seeing my noodling usually only commences Wednesday night (Armaguard delivers to bank Wed. and I get my order bags later in the day).

[In fact, any week that turns up an incused is a very good week].

I found this one in my change bag from the last couple of jobs.
I doubt that this has seen 42 years of circulation.
I have several of these in MS64 or better but to find one as good as this after all them years is interesting
