The golden tone is seen sometimes on our decimal coinage, most common on 5c and 50c coins IMO.

to CCF CudLee The basic 'lack of a / almost level rim' is reasonably common with the 2004 Small Head 20c. Would dearly love to see a pic of the Centenary of quarantine and Centenary of women's sufferage. I haven't seen them before. Looks like you did really well for your first attempt. with Enworb's quote: Quote: The golden tone is seen sometimes on our decimal coinage, most common on 5c and 50c coins IMO. Just keep your eye out for 'those little 50 cent Jubilee coins with a slight yellowy tinge'. (Just kidding CudLee).

The spew roo's a great example - love to find one as good as yours. Reckon he's suffering the after effects of a really big lunch....!

Thanks for the extra pics CudLee.
The Quarantine is a beauty!
I did know that Women's Suffrage one, just forgot what it was called.
My memory isn't as good as it used to be. Also my memory isn't as good as it used to be.

The centenary of quarantine is NCLT, so to find one in circulation is pretty good going. Wherever you got your coins from would be a good place to get them from in future, but probably best to return them to a different Branch so you run less chance of getting the same coins back again at a later date. Just going by what you found, it seems that there aren't any active noodlers in your area, so you could do very well with your searching. I'm very envious of some of your finds, so keep it up, we love to see others successes.

Welcome Cudlee. Just making sure you are aware that there are two versions of the womens sufferage coin. Check the size of the gap between the rim and the bottom of the figures, and the position of the trident to spot the difference between the two versions.
