To see some of the differences in the 2 types of 2003 $1 Suffrage coins, look here:

I will be adding to the new topic as I get more images ready, but it might take me a while.

Not strictly noodling, but fairly close, as was a nice accidental find:

1924 Indian obverse variety penny, with filled 4 error.

While the filled 4 is fairly frequently seen in the more common London obverse, this is the first I have seen with the scarcer Indian obverse.

I am informed that they are out there, but not seen very often.

Might hold on to this one for a while ..... (till I find a better one)

I posted pics of an upset 2010 50¢ from the week's noodling.
But, some other nice "keepers" too. So I thought some pics of those could be encouragement to those thinking of doing some noodling.

These are the pick from $600 of 50¢ in rolls and mixed $210 of 50¢ and 20¢ that were cashed in over the counter at the local bank. They represent a little less than half of what I will retain -most of the others are duplicates.

Some 20¢. I do really like to find a nice, older one like that 1975.

Why not give it a go. Quite fun to find some good ones and they only cost face value. [Do not try to factor your time into the cost or you may discourage yourself. Remember; it is only a hobby.]

Most commonly found on 1979 and 1980 dated coins. The 1966 defintely can display faint double bars and I have heard reputable reports of 1993 and 1996 dated coins displaying very faint bars.

Another good noodling week. Just finished $400 of 20¢ and found this one this morning.
A few other nice coins but, I would have been happy with just the one.

Jeff, you have to live in wavy capital! How many is that you have found now?

My count still stands at an incredible 0

... mind you, Shanew is going to be king of "wavy capital" when he shows a pic of those "rolls" of wavy coins (as per "could I have found a 2006 $1 proof" topic).

Nudge, nudge shane . Would love to see a photo ...

Well. lets see;
•I have four here
•I have sold five on ebay
•I swapped one for a 1925 + 1946 penny and the same person bought another one.
That makes... (add it up yourself). [Several years involved there.]

Not the wavey capital here but this address could be the noodling capital!

Of the ones I have I am keeping the best two and hoping to parley the other two into a 1938 crown or a 1935 Melbourne florin. Either sell them and use the proceeds or, preferably, do a swap. Let me know if you might be interested.
But you will have to wait for an answer. I leave home tomorrow at 5am and, by this time tomorrow night will be having a nice cold Fiji Bitter at the hotel in Nadi. They have internet in Fiji but, as soon as I arrive, I go onto "Fiji Time".

Fabulous find Jeff. Even though it shows it has had a long life, it is still a wavy.
I'm on Unicorn's score for finding these....0.....
To have found 10 is pretty amazing; the harder you look the luckier you'll get, I suppose!! I guess there won't be many over in Fiji.....

... have a great time in Fiji, Jeff

Will you be able to resist the urge to visit a local bank and ask for a bag of Fijian coins for "noodling" back at the resort ?
