Yep, I bought my 100-ounce bar when silver had dropped all the way down to about $28.60 and seemed to be on the rise again. Right afterwards it dropped a wee bit more to $28.55 but that's about it. I'm still expecting it to plummet down to $25 any second now, though...

Barry - I am buying in batches and also have a feeling silver has room to correct and be manipulated a bit more.

I bought my bar at goldmart.com. Only $0.59 per ounce over spot, and it's a recognized name brand. I thought of getting two in order to get the free shipping for silver orders over $5000, but I didn't feel like sleeping on the couch tonight...

Ugh. If silver gets any cheaper I think all of my local sources are gonna dry up completely. I've picked up some good deals locally but it's all small purchases right now because so little is up for sale. With cold hard cash in hand, I couldn't buy a fairly priced tube of ASE's locally to save my life.

No, it just means I am no longer sleeping on the couch (and I'd like to keep it that way)...

I tend to go attend local coin shows. Luckily they have a few throughout the month(s). I do go to local shops as there are plenty around the area.

I thought you were done with silver for a while, Barry? Guess you're just as addicted as the rest of us.

Seems like all the private sellers around me are trying to recoup their losses buy asking $40+ per oz even on noname bars.

Man, I really seem to have some sort of magical powers. Originally, my wife told me to wait until silver dropped below $28 before buying anything else. Yesterday I told her that silver had dipped below $28 briefly a month ago but had been pretty steady between $28-29 for the last month, and she agreed that I should go ahead and buy at $28.60.
Well, I just checked and silver is currently at $28.16 and heading lower. If it gets below $28 (and my wife finds out about it) I'm gonna get an earful...
OldGold: If you plan on ordering enough to offset the shipping (or even get free shipping), you should really consider buying online. As I said, the 100-ounce bar I just got from goldmart was only $0.59 per ounce over spot and shipping was only $20 (which adds another $0.20 per ounce).
