Yeah,i much prefer to be looking for mule rather than the bubble any day. I have 9 bubbles now, which I found in $400 worth of 20's & only about 5% of the coins were 2010.
& yes Jeff I have'nt forgotten you,i will get around to emailing you, just very busy today & tomorrow cleaning up & mowing the local CWA building & grounds.

Im yet to find one in Adelaide not for lack of looking. Theyre going on ebay cheap if you look for them. Might be easier. Thats what I did.

Yes, can always buy but nothing beats the thrill and satisfaction of noodling and error or variation coin.

Yep, certainly great to noodle an error or variety but if all else fails it's also fun to "noodle" off ebay and at least get your hands on them - I'm with enworb on the "bubble" Pedro

Finally found my first "proper" 2010 "bubble" coin . Unfortunately, the coin was not in the best condition, tarnished with a metallic film over much of its surface . However, I now have two varieties of larena's find. My previous find posted on this chat topic was the "incused" ? bubble coin. For comparison I have shown this in the lower right inset of the below picture. Squire

Any luck finding these coins, they seem to have dried up.

I've found three in Brisbane within the last month, which surprised me because I thought they were supposed to be rare. I've never looked for the "bubble coin" before, but they seem to be relatively common, making up about 2% of 2010-dated 20c coins (excluding the ATO ones). I can think of many other varieties that are much harder to find in circulation, including many of the commemorative ones, but perhaps I just had a lucky run. Good luck and keep looking, because there are still plenty out there!
