I doubt any of the Cuds or bubbles will be officially catalogued but they are nice to own for a variety collector

I found two 2005 50 cent coins with the boot / robe Cud amongst the 50 cents last night. The Cud in one coin is slightly bigger than the other. Both coins show only little wear. Squire

Quote: I doubt any of the Cuds or bubbles will be officially catalogued but they are nice to own for a variety collector Depends what catalogue you mean. A standard catalogue such as maccas, probably not. Renniks have released error/variety catalogues before. Sure they probably wont get the same recognition as more significant variations such as the wavy 66 or millennium incuse but there seems to be plenty of interest in error coins.

....at least you have found a "bubble" 2010 20 cents larena I am still looking for my first one. At least your "one in $800" statistic indicates the scarcity of this coin error. I will have some 20 cent coins to look through this weekend. Maybe there will be a "bubble" amongst them. I will certainly post pictures of any unusual coins that I may find .... Squire

That blasted 20 cent bubble is next on my hit list. I look through a lot of 20 cent coins but have only recently started looking for the bubble recently. NSW needs some representation here, so it's just a matter of time bubbleboy before I line you up in my sights.

"The Coin Hunter" - with your good luck in recently joining the "exclusive" 2010 50 cent "upset error / twist top" club (6 members), I think your chances of bagging a "bubble" 20 cent coin are good ! Good luck Squire

I got another 6 of these in the mail today. $5 each from the seller I got my first two. Its a bit more than they went for in the sellers auction but I figured I was happy with $5 each. The bubble really fits into the design well. Anyone else found or purchased any lately or has interest completely dropped off?

With the way it is going in Australia with the slobbing and Sheldon grading I think that the die varieties will become part and parcel of the coin collecting in the long run. Look at the Red Book and the Canadian equivalent ( I don't have one yet) and you will notice a definite preference for the die variety coins. So I would hold onto yours at $5 a bargain mate

At last!!! Found my first Bubble. It took a while. Since I've started looking for the bubble I've found about 4 2008 gaps and 3 2004 pointy A's, so for me it is definitely more scarce than those those two coin varieties. TCH
