I just bought a bunch of 1969 PL sets (got a great deal). Any varieties I should look for? I know about the 1969 large date dime (would these even be in PL sets?), but other than that, I don't know of any varieties from that year.

The 1969 PL set has a catalog value of $4.00. As far as I know, there isn't anything special to look for in any of the coins included in this set.

The large date dime would not be included as these large dates were produced early on in the circulating coinage, not the ones for non circulating sets.

There are cameos in '69,and you could always look for PL67s.Not much to look for in those sets, issue price of $4,forty-three years later they are priced at J&M at$3.50.Keep a set and sell the rest on ebay where they usually go for $5 +S&H

It's a shame really that a coin set 43 years old is worth less then the day it was issued. I was at a coin show a few weeks back and found 5 1969 sets in a "junk" bin for $2.50 each. I bought them, hoping that in another 43 years they might be worth $5.00

You might check the details in the lettering on the ribbon, the stems of the leaves at the bottom, the detail in the crown, lion's face, and shield, and for doubling anywhere around the queen, or on the obverse lettering. You may not find anything, but this is where I am finding differences on the circulation strikes. I will bw doing a post soon on the 1968-1969 half dollar variations.
