Found a couple of sets of these in some stuff I pulled out of storage. The set is made up of a A$20, A$50, A$100 and A$200 specimen

Questions

1. Would you consider these to be a sub-category of Australian Currency?

2. What value would you place on them?

Exonumia yes, currency no. In practice, these are similar to gift vouchers.

As for value, that is purely dependent on what someone would be willing to pay, and as there is a limited market for items such as this, it would be hard to give guidelines.

These regularly turn up on ebay and sell for $10-15, often less. I believe they were printed as examples and distributed to banks for education purposes.
