I've a bit of dimes and quarter rolls for the past year and didn't find anything interesting other than fill up my holes in my folders because I'm pretty new in coin collecting. My best luck was in stores where I've got three silver quarters so far for the last 6 months. I always have a look at the cash drawer and when I spot silver I ask for it. And another luck was a dime on the ground which was a 1951 US dime. But when I will have time I will continue some roll hunting and report my finds.

If you're looking for silver, dimes are your best bet by far. I searched boxes of both for a few months last year and was averaging 1 silver quarter per 10,000 and 1 silver dime per 1,000

Good luck!

@ twoplustwo
I went through 10 rolls of quarters today and didnt even get a date older than 2000. Depressing. So I took your advice and bought 22 rolls of dimes and found 4 1968 canadians....If I have been informed correctly, thats 50% silver per dime. Can you confirm this info as well. I said in another thread on here that I think I like the dimes too because you have 2 times the amount of dimes to go through than quarters at the same price. I can see why some people would be discouraged looking at all those dimes being so small. I just wanted to say thank-you for the opinion. I will try quarters again at some point but I think dimes are gonna be my next bulk pick up again. CHEERS!
