He gang , I've been tring to pinpoint this once 1882-s .. it shows the doubling on the whole date , the S mint mark is showing doubling on the bottom curve and I see the die scratch in the area of the eagles *right leg/talon area* .. but only thing I dont see is the polishing lines .. ? is that making it a VAM19?

thanks for any input I will try to post some photos , I'm new to this site so bare with me if they dont post I will try ..

And just so anyone knows , I'm just tring to learn how to attribute and I know this may not carry a above average premium .. but just tring my hand at attributing the coins I already own , not to sell I seem to hoard these things haha ..

But any info for a newbie is appreciated this being the FIRST morgan I'm attempting to attribute ...

i had a boat load of 1882 dated morgans and this was just on the top of the stack ..

Heh. I got here too late.

Keep in mind, something like die polishing is very much dependent on die state and circulation wear. It'll be more or less strong during those processes, and either can make it invisible, especially wear.

Hey SuperDave , And TwoHawks you guys are both Alot of help Also .. I've read Posts that both of you have done and Very Informative .!

Since I'm new , just curious if there is anything you guys recommend I pay attention to ? .. I see SuperDave Recommend that I note the date position ... (which I just did alot of research on last nite , and Wow I didnt realize how important the dates location and orientation is)

I do have another that I'm gonna need a hand with , ill post it in a few mins , Its a PCGS ms64 1900-o .. with some decent double clashings , and I'm seeing Faint letter transfer under the eagles tailfeathers and abouve the arrow tips area you see the cotton bolls .. but I'm goin to take some proper photos and see what you guys think ...

Thanks again everyone .. you all have been a huge help ..
