Quote: Great stuff! So what will be your next series to collect? Thanks Muddler .. I would like to finish up a couple more sets, Roosevelt dimes, and Proof American silver eagles. But I have been thinking of doing a slabbed high grade Ike set.

That is one outstanding set GR58! Congrats! It looks like you put them all in the square holders. Looks good. I sure am glad you got those last coins in the mail. I think after seeing the actual coins and the pictures, my favorites are the US Constitution, Leif Ericson, and the Korea coins. I also love the detail on the Bald Eagle. Well done. Can't wait to see your next set.

GR58, the set is beautiful, This is my first set that I am starting, I want the proof and unc sets for all of them. Do you plan on having your set graded? I am trying to decide if I want to buy them raw and get them graded or just buy them graded to begin with. Obviously looking at the price guides I will NEVER be able to afford 70's to some of these, so not sure what to do yet

Looks great! Must be some budget you have there! I am in my second year of my proof set and I only have 34 so far. Be glad you got some of them while you did, there are many more with mintage's way way under 100K. Check out this article from Numismaster.com on this, http://www.numismaster.com/ta/numis...icleId=15553.

I do not plan on having any of my current coins graded. but three of them are slabbed coins (Olympic rowing, tennis and cycling). I could see myself putting a slabbed set together, in addition to this set. I am not a big fan of buying 70 graded coins, of course if I send a coin in, and it comes back a 70 .. makes me very happy. My thoughts are if a MS 70 coin is two or three time the price of a MS 69 coin, I would rather buy 2 or 3... MS 69 coins.

Thanks for the reply ... I have not added up how many Proof coins there are .. but 34 must be over half. So your off to a very good start. Not sure what you mean by .. be glad I got some while I did? This is a complete set of uncirculated modern commemorative dollars. Not counting the two 2012 coins I have not ordered yet. I do not plan on collecting the proof versions. Good luck on completing your set ..

GR58- what I meant is given the low mintage's of a lot of the UNC some are still way undervalued and I'd be surprised as the years go on that more of the UNC do not go up in price.

Just got back from the coin show here in Pittsburgh, got 4 coins toward my modern commem set. I got the 1998 Black War Patriots set UNC and PR and also the 2000 Leif Ericson set UNC and PR, got both sets in original govt packaging with COA's for $198, which I thought was a great price, given both sets recent sales

GR58, I picked up the Korea unc dollar today. I have two questions for you...
Does the ogp include any sort of slip for the box? Mine is just in the plastic holder, in the box with Coa... All my others the boxes are held in sleeves.
Also, can you please explain the reason for the odd numbered anniversary? I know I read it somewhere and thought it was this thread. Is it something along the lines of a latitudal or longitudal line and the number of years represented in the anniversary?

Found it... Division of north and south Korea at the 38th degree of latitude. 38 year anniversary. Love it.

Wow GR58 that is one nice set. I like the lighthouse box you keep them in. I noticed you keep them also in Lighthouse square holders. Did you take them out of the original package? I have been thinking myself on getting on of the boxes for my ASE's. Good job in the collection and thanks again for the pics.
