To maximise profits, the mint needs to maximise interest in the hobby as well as sqeezing as much money out of each collector as possible.
If they upset their customers by sqeezing them too much (ie releasing too many collector coins) then their customers will stop buying altogether. If they release too many different coins, their market will get smaller rather than bigger.

I think the mint strikes too many coins to celebrate any occasion I can't even bring myself to buy a new NCLT dollar coin for $12+ or a 50c for $10

Received in the mail yesterday,all heat sealed in saflips,very impressed with the sellers extra efforts to ensure no damage to the coins,all UNC BTW.

2001 was exception to the over minting of product.We bought the coins and glad we did they were minted for the right reasons and circulated.Love these
