Very nice..that's what I started to do but then decided to just keep the nice looking coins as I really can't affort to have great heaps of money sitting around when I'll have rego soon and after getting a lot of help from ccf members I realised I had a heap of crap that wasn't worth holding on too..so thanks team But back to your coins..I think I might be able to help as I didn't see a 2010 tax and I might have 2 and as you've been really really good to me but I'd like to send a few if I can find anything else that you mightn't have Ya know the main problem I see here in the future, and that all the kids as you should be giving them all one each to stop the fights..it's gonna be on

I think I have the taxation one but there is no spot in the dansco for it. Why on earth they decided to celebrate taxation is beyond me, next one will be the celebration of herpes

I purchased a mint roll of thw ATO coins for the sole reason I was working for them at the time but it really is amongst the most stupid things to put on a coin. Up there with girl guides/scouts/older person/ volunteers/ womens day and so on. Not that I want to diminish the importance of those things listed but think the mint/treasury take it a bit far sometimes.

I don't collect NCLT, but it really annoys me that the RAM produces some fine designs, commemorating subjects that are iconic, but only people with more dollars than sense get hold of them. In my opinion, they ought to release a few million of every design into circulation, so every kid gets to see one occasionally, and perhaps thank about the relevant issues. That said, the symbolism behind the 2003 Women's Suffrage dollar eludes me.

Totaly. If they go to the trouble of making the dies they should be able to put several thousand into circulation instead of just making collector candy

That deeats the mint's intentions - making coins that are 'special' - if you could find them in change people wouldnt pay as much.

Quote: If they go to the trouble of making the dies they should be able to put several thousand into circulation instead of just making collector candy In our dreams. It is far more profitable for the Mint to stick a 50c to a card and sell it for $9 than put it into circulation where people can get them for face value. The $1 coins are even more of a rip off. They cost $13.50 when stuck to a card. The RAM seem to more profit driven these days than it is providing a service to all Australians. Maybe it will be privatised after the next election.

the quality of modern coins is exceptional but all of them are overpriced and too many made We cant afford the big prices for these coins its not an enjoyable hobby trying to collect new releases we now concentrate on filling the gaps in older coin issues from 1966
