Found these two Thai notes, discovered there's a couple of Thai specialists in this forum, and was wondering if I could get some info. Particularly date of issue and any meaningfulness (if any) to the series designations.
hey btsmith details of the notes I belive are as follows:
1953-56 No Date Issues
P76d - 10 Baht - signature 41
P77c or P77d - 20 Baht - Signature 41 **
** 77c has small letters in the 2 line of text on the back and 77d has larger letters in the 2 line of text on the back
Also the "watermark" for both notes should be a profile of the King
As to value not much as they are not in top condition - FYI in my Catalogue which is not up to date the UNC value for the 10 Baht note is $2.25 and $3 for the 20 Baht note
The 20 baht is definitely 77d. In the first line of writing on the back there is a distinct gap in the lettering just over half way while the 77c has no gap. I'd show you a close up from my collection but unfortunately I don't have it to hand.
