I thought this would happen now that they're minted only for collectors. With the mint selling these dollars at a premium and as a collectible product I don't consider them a coin anymore. It's more like a medallion made by the US government.

The Presidential dollar coins were a complete fluke and a waste of time and money. However, I see a need for making dollar coins and the Native American dollars work nicely. I only wish they would return the dates and mintmarks on the obverse of the coin.

And I agree with doing away with the dollar banknote but I hope that doesn't start another wave of fear and paranoia by some people crying tyranny, being "forced", being "shoved around" by Big Brother, "sheeple", etc.

Having the date and mint mark on the edge is my biggest complaint.
Rest in Peace

You realize a $2.50 silver or $200 gold coin would be the size of a dime, right?

I didn't even know that they had ceremonies.

I don't mind the year being on the end now that they have a unique design every year. The mint mark is a pain though.
