Nice coins, Franklin halves are a good series to collect. They're not that large of a set, easier to acquire and it doesn't have that key date stopper that makes you spend lots of money. Like the Roosie too. Personally I would not consider the 1955 Bugs Bunny variation as part of the set. Its only a matter of time when other years starts popping up with the same variety.

This is true and I think there already have been a few others found. Personally I like oddball pieces like the Bugs and it has been know/around for a long time. So after I finished my Franklins, I decided I wanted to also get one of these. I am not sure I ever will want the proofs or not b/c I usually have just collected coins that could be found in circulation since the others were special issue. But then again, come to think about it, I also broke my own idea about circulation-only coins b/c I bought one of the Daniel Carr made 1964 D Franklins b/c I thought it was a great oddball coin - especially since it is an actual, re-struck Franklin. If it were just a copy, I probably would not have liked it so much.

It is a part of the set if you are an error/variety collector. I am not, so I do not have (nor feel the need to have) one in my set. However, those that do feel the need are free to do so. As we always say around here, collect what you like!

Glad to hear you are collecting US coins and the Franklin series is a nice set to work on, since most coins are readily available in AU+ grades at reasonable prices. Check ebay often and see if they will ship to Egypt. Lots of competition, so you'll get great prices. It might even be a good idea to contact a few big sellers and see what kind of deals they will offer, based upon a bunch of coins shipped together, to save on shipping costs. Good luck and please keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks COMET and I hope that it would be an easy job to complete this set because the Roosie set wasnt that easy at least for me Regarding the Varieties, I noticed that my Dansco has extra holes that are without dates so may be I will fill these someday with errors or varieties

Thanks wquinn and unfortunately I dont have a paypal account and most ebay dealers require that but I sometimes get help from American and Australian friends when I need to buy something .... other than ebay I get most of my coins from CCF members either through buying, trading and I cant ignore their generosity as sometimes I get some as gifts.

Do you need an album for those Sacagawea dollars? I have an extra, lightly used Dansco I could send you.
