probably be easier just to take it to the dump bank and have the other bank get you a new one with the $100 bills you got from the dump bank.

I decided to search the box I got Friday that had been opened. Only found 1-1942 Walker and 1-1968 JFK, so it was not a complete loss. I have 2 boxes ordered for next week.

I have only seen silver on the ends of three rolls I have searched, and I average 2 boxes a week for the last 9 months now.

I do! I usually get a box or two of cents a week. The thing that I really like about coin roll hunting is that it is 100% FREE.

well, my experience is its 99.99% free since once in a while, one of the rolls is either missing a coin or the counter misses a coin. Still, its like playing the lottery and you get a refund on all non-winning tickets :)

I've seen a few people talk about coin sorting machines that sort copper pennies from zinc. Is there such a machine that would sort silver from clad in halves? Such a machine almost seems too good to be true, but if there's one out there I'd entertain the idea of purchasing one. What have you guys seen or know about this?

I have thought about making one, but there are some problems. 1) It might not catch 40% silvers as the weight is quite close to clad 2) You would miss out on 1987, 2002+ and proof coins. 3) It would likely be expensive.
So I never built one.

I went through a box of cents today. I was surprised to get 10 wheat cents from the 1950s and 2 Canadian George VI cents all in the same roll.
