What's everyone's opinion on how rare is the 2000P Canada nickel, are they that hard to find in circulation?

I just came across 2 of them but, I have seen articles that say they are "rare" if you want to use that word.

Rare? Not really.I have 14 MS myself.Mintage is 4,899,000.
The 2000W would be more rare, since they were minted for sets only. It's the same old story."if you find a W in circulation, well you know"

I bought a 2000p on ebay for $2+ and then found one in my change a week later, wasn't impressed with the ebay hype.

It would be cheaper to buy the 2000w set than to buy the individual "rare found in circulation" off ebay.

I have close to 2 rolls I have pulled from circulation so far. Lower mintage then the 1970 nickel but I find them more frequently. I pull any I find from circulation unless they are trashed and put them aside. In the last month I have searched through 20 boxes of nickels and pulled 7 x 1970 and around 20 x 2000P. It is hit or miss. Sometimes I find several in a box and then none for a few boxes. I also keep any High grade 2001 No P I find...just over 30 million minted but still fun to find.

I find two or three per box of nickels and like cladhunter, I save them unless they are trashed. I think the mintage is too high to be considered a rare coin.
