Quote: There may be no good coins in there... dibby was right, a quick sweep for commemorative raritys revealed no incused milleniums, no 1991 'rams heads', and about $9 worth of 2001 COF - various states.

$9 of state 2001 50c is not bad. I did say I wouldnt have time to noodle but I managed to do $60 of 5c at 1am last night so it just counts as the weekend. Got a 1956 sixpence, 1 1972 5c and 5 foreign coins. Not too bad but not enough to win this one I dont think I love that coloured 50c

I'm looking at $50 notes. I started yesterday. I've taken $10,500 out of my safe & exchanged 4 times. I love my 50's. So my search is to be through $42,000. Is that considered noodling in this competition. Lucky I got on it last night. One last exchange before the bank closes & I'll post up the results later. I might even add a couple of notes to my collection.

I think it counts as noodking. If you exchamge over $10,000 do you need to fill out those anti money laundering forms each time?

Nope, I'm close with my bank tellers, small set of shops, so we buy coffees from the same shop & they buy haircare off me. All very cosy! I guess it's all about the relationships you build.

I've noodled $50 of 50c & $20 of 20c. results 50c Vic COF x 2 1984 very high grade 20c 2003 Volunteers 2008 gap A little disappointing I would have been happy with a 1985 50c

I wish it was spare. It's for big stock weeks...or at least half of it is. The other half is the rainy day cashflow. I should have the final results in a couple of hours. There's been a couple first prefixes. Some minor ink errors...not too long now.

My results are out; First prefixes; 1996, 1998 2005 & 2007 Last prefixes; 2 x 2006 & 2 x 2008 Radars; 2009 Partial errors; light ink errors; 2009 ink scrape; 1999 smudged ink; 2005 wet ink transfer & 1999 faded out serial number. When I'm back home I'll post pictures of these errors just for people's opinions on if the believe these errors are genuine or authentic. Interesting findings; 840 notes checked; only 11 were 1996, 21 were 2003 & 20 were 2007. Those particular years all print runs less than 35 million notes.

Nice finds! what was the radar number? I still haven't got myself a radar in a couple weeks I plan on noodling $5 notes for radars. $50 are a bit expensive to be keeping.

Bugger, I noodle at least $400 of 20¢/50¢ each week but only on week days. I have been away for a few days and rushed to get them done first. Nothing left now to noodle, only the change in my pocket -I don't think a 2005 coming home 20¢ will hack it! I will just have to wait for a weekday competition. Jeff PS. I did pass a row of fourteen AC Cobras at Cudal this afternoon on the way home. Nothing to do with coins but a most impressive sight.

Jeff : Pretend it is a long weekend and the comp will remain open until Monday night, just for you. All results to be in by Monday midnight and I shall create the poll on Tuesday morning. I have nearly done all mine and not really found much of interest. Got some nice 50c and 20c but disapointed! Sometimes that happens . Hope you lot are having better luck than me
