Now that you mentioned the 1977 dollar, I looked at my (almost) uncirculated 1977 coin and it has a detached jewel and a short water line.

Here is the entire reverse, of that 1973 dollar with the die crack (chain) linking the beads.

yep, SPP, that is one sweet chain happening... I know what I'm keeping my eyes open for now! lol!

wert: you're welcome! I seem to find more varities of the 1977 detached jewels than the attached jewels, for some reason. I don't know if that's the way it truly is , or just what I've found so far. Maybe we could start a new thread to discuss it?
