Just checking to get some feedback on this coin. I have no idea if there are only certain dates for these errors per say. I thought I'd post this here prior to doing my research. Sorry, but this is as close as my macro gets. I really need a scope!!!

Yep, it's a BIE. They used to be very collectible, but kind of fell out of favor.

Thanks for the reply Becky. So did they "fall out" because of the amount turning up? Any idea if these were limited to only a few years or strictly 1957? Actually, I have Coppercoins' book so I guess I should read up huh? Regardless, thanks again Becky.

Some of us still think they are collectable !! they just do not have the value they once did .

your analisis is largely correct ,,at one time they appeared more rare than they actually were ,, and they occured on many different dates,, I have almost all of the 50's and some well into the 60's and have even seen a few in the 70's
